For Your Information:

Covington County School District has been congratulated by the State Superintendent of Education, Carey M. Wright, Ed.D., Mississippi Department of Education, for earning an improved letter grade for the 2018-2019 school year.  The district moved from a “D” grade to a “C” grade.  One of the goals of the state board is that every school and every district be rated “C” or higher.

Dr. Wright states, “Your district has proven what happens when teachers and school leaders challenge students to reach high expectations and help them achieve greater academic outcomes.  I commend your hard work, leadership and sincere commitment to helping students reach their greatest potential.”

Babette Duty, Superintendent of Covington County Schools, states that our district goals coordinate with the state goals: “Educate, Motivate, and Graduate.”
